Here are 4 Domains that Sold for Over A Million Dollars Yesterday
but we can't show the names
One thing that happens way too often on X is people sharing domain “sales” without actually naming the domain. That literally serves no purpose. If you don’t include the name, all you’re doing is trying to prove you sell domains—which, again, serves no purpose. Nobody really cares if you sell a name. Because your sale doesn’t make the reader any money.
What does help is the information behind the sale. Knowing the name gives people insight into pricing, keyword value, and quality—things they can actually learn from. Without that, it’s just noise.
Honestly, I assume a lot of these unnamed sales aren’t even real. It’s just a way to build clout or credibility in the space. And in some cases, they probably just don’t know better.
Look, we all have private sales. That’s normal. But “private” means you don’t say anything at all. I share enough to give people an idea of what I’m doing, but I definitely don’t share everything—especially in categories I’m crushing. I want time to lock down more names before I reveal what’s working.
Sharing actual names gives the community comps and real insight. Just saying “I sold something” gives nothing. No names = no comps = no value.
