Monday's Big Domain Auction List and Everyone Has a Bestselling Book Now

I see people online boasting they have written a successful book and act like it gives them great value. I have no idea if they actually wrote it or not but what I do know is ANYONE, literally anyone with enough money, can have a best selling book. Scribe media, formerly known as Book in a Box, will have someone come interview you and write a fantastic book. They’ll also get enough copies sold to get you on a Best Sellers list. Readly will do that as well. So when I see a speaker say they are a best selling author I am always skeptical. The company was formed to cater to public speakers. They realized a public speaker gets double or more if they are a best-selling author. They know they can charge $30K to $100K for a book because the speaker will make much more than that in improved booking fees. It’s a proven model and I know many people who have done it. Don’t look for me to do it. If I publish a book I’ll write it and happily sell 20 copies to my friends and family.

On another note, I’ll be back in the mountains for the summer, avoiding the Midwest and NC heat. I shouldn’t miss any posts as I have good Internet and Starlink. Last year I had a job while I did it and it was brutal. I couldn’t get time off, had 3-4 meetings every day, and I was meeting people all over the world so my hours were long. Now I can do me and concentrate on building things and my domains. Going to be a great summer. It’s why I worked so hard for 30 years, so I could play and work wherever and whenever I wanted.

Quote of the Day: “You don’t have to be a writer to write a book anymore. You just need a story—and a ghostwriter.” –Michael Levin
