Peak Domain Sales Before the Summer Lull: A Great Time to Add Expired Domains: DSAD for Monday

QuickExchange.com , Stripe.xyz, Farmstead.com

I went to a few sporting events over the weekend and had some thoughts about the city. First, LaGuardia is one of the nicest airports I’ve seen in the U.S. After traveling through Asia, most American airports are trash But LaGuardia was different. It’s new, clean, with 100s of people to guide you and answer questions. I’ve flown through all the New York airports, but somehow had never been to LaGuardia. Newark, on the other hand, might be the worst airport I’ve ever been to. Terrible service, no room for error, and almost guaranteed delays. Trash

Say what you want about New York, but the public transportation system is one of the best in the world. Not everything is spotless, but I didn’t wait more than five minutes for a train, even after Knicks and Mets games. They moved tens of thousands of people without a hitch. You’re never more than a few blocks from a station, and you can get anywhere in the city just by tapping a credit card. It was raining, so an Uber from LaGuardia to downtown was $93. I took the bus to the subway for $3, and it was probably just as fast.

Brooklyn is a vibe. It’s not the old Brooklyn anymore. It’s been gentrified and cleaned up, but the culture is still there. I love it. I like the Upper East Side and Central Park too, but Brooklyn feels more affordable and has homes built for actual families.

Since this is a domain article, I paid attention to the billboards, which are everywhere in the city. I’d guess half of them didn’t include a domain name or QR code. Just the brand. The video ads especially didn’t end with anything to click or visit. It seems like they’re hoping you’ll remember the brand and look it up later. The rest were split between QR codes and domain names. As far as domain quality, it was all over the place. The big companies had exact match names like Nike.com or Sephora, but you already know those brands. The smaller names were inconsistent. No obscure TLDs. I don’t think I saw anything but dot com but I was in the area where it was majority consumer goods being advertised. Nothing to learn from it other than business as usual.

PS: I had under 15 minutes on my phone and computer and phone the last 2 days. I am 100% going to repeat this often. The phone and computer suck the life out of you, you just don’t know it until you going and participate in real life
