The biggest news of the weekend is definitely this stormin the US. The degenerate in me is playing weather predictions on Polymarket. Stocks like Generac and heavy equipment rentals move almost immediately. As soon as the big weather statements hit, the stocks move, whether or not the storm ends up being as bad as they say.
Generac has always been a decent buy in the world of needing instant power. They are the leaders in backup energy. Like domains, it only takes getting one right to pay for the losers.
Of course I do not recommend anyone do this. It is essentially gambling. I just look at it as informed gambling. It is fun to follow along and paper trade as well, which is most of my fun anyway. Some people watch basketball. I watch the weather futures and the changing weather models.
